Meet The Face Behind Valcon Industries LLC
Hi, my name is Peter Chin, the proud owner of Valcon Industries LLC. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I have always had a fascination with construction and Engineering for as long as I can remember. In 2009, I noticed that there wasn’t a cementitious-based waterproofing product on the market. Any where water meets cement, swimming pools, fountains, water tanks, sidewalks, bridges, buildings I figured needed protection from water infiltration so I set out to invent one!
In the beginning, we had no competition but industry standards back then did not pay much attention to water retention or waterproofing. How things have changed since then! We now have many competitors, large multi-billion dollar companies selling a myriad of products, each claiming to address a certain problem.
None of these “new” products compare to the original. FlexCrete has no equal in terms of quality, durability, and lifespan. You shouldn’t believe me just because I said so … FlexCrete has obtained a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance under #17-1206.01, and the last time I checked, we are the only cementitious waterproofing product to have achieved this prestigious certification.
What this means is that FlexCrete meets or surpasses a high degree of performance and manufacturing quality control such that it is accepted for use in Miami-Dade County. For those of you who don’t know, Miami-Dade is an area often frequented by high winds and hurricanes!
The part of being in business that I most enjoy are the challenges and all of the people we get to help. My philosophy is to work hard, be honest and help others.
As an individual and as a Company, I believe what sets us apart are our core values of honesty, integrity, and trust.
I attribute our success to staying true to our core values and the loyalty that our customers have shown to our brand.
Seeing our products used in landmark projects from Alaska to the Caribbean and in Europe has given me immense satisfaction over the years.
When I am not at work, I have a few different pursuits and hobbies that keep me occupied. I love spending quality time with my family, sailing, and socializing. I also enjoy exercising, cycling, tennis, and am an avid golfer.
I also believe in giving back to society and, as part of that belief, support worthwhile charities such as fighting cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Those charities supporting children in sports, the church, and the hungry are also dear to me.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
